Network of Establishing Teachers Conference 2025
The Network of Establishing Teachers Conference will be taking place on the 23rd and 24th April, 2025. The conference will be held at Waipuna Conference Centre in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland.
This auspicious event marks the 10-year anniversary of the PPTA Network of Establishing Teachers Conference. Since 2014 the NET Conference has been an opportunity for establishing teachers to come together, network, learn, and grow as union activists and leaders.
The conference will include engaging keynotes speakers and forums, as well as two streams of workshops – Activism and Professional. Activist workshops will include education around union campaigns and organising. Professional workshops will include sessions on professional issues and development. meta
All PPTA members who are in their first 10 years of teaching in New Zealand are invited to register for this event, however, there are limited spaces available. Each region has a quota of delegates that they are entitled to have attending the conference. We recommend notifying your regional committee if you are intending to register for this event. If you are unsure how to contact your regional committee, please ask your Branch Chair.
All accommodation and food costs for the conference are covered by the PPTA. You will need to arrange your own travel to and from the conference. Travel costs may be claimed through your PPTA region, so it is important that you notify your region if you are attending.
To register for the conference, please complete the form below. Registrations will be processed and confirmed in early February 2025. Please note that due to limited spaces being available, you may be placed on a waitlist.
