We’re upgrading our database.

While we spruce things up, "Mypage" and our "Join PPTA" portal will be taking a quick break. Don’t worry though, if you need help with your member benefits or absolutely anything else, your membership team is just an email away.

260228 PPTA 016

New to teaching or still finding your feet? These short videos are here to help. Whether you're trying to understand your entitlements, get to know your union, or figure out who can support you — we've got you covered.

The Know Your Stuff series covers the things every teacher should know, in plain language and without the jargon:

  • What is PPTA Te Wehengarua? — who we are and what we do for you
  • Structure of PPTA Te Wehengarua — how the union is organised
  • Non-Contact Entitlements — your time to prepare, and how it works

  • Why Join the Union? — the real, everyday benefits of being a member

  • Sick Leave Entitlements — what you're owed and how to use it
